Inbreeding in the Arab World

Good grief!!  I had no idea it was this bad.  Inbreeding in Middle Eastern countries is higher than I could have believed.  Overall, at least 50% of all Arabs are inbred.  You read that correctly...over half.   It's higher in specific nations.  For example, the Nubian region of Egypt (southern portion along the northern border of Sudan) imbreeding is estimated between 60% and 80%.  Saudi Arabia come in between 47% and 60%.

To think I used to make fun of West Virginia.

And, of course, in the name of spreading Islam to the rest of the world, whether they want it or not, you have the immigrants that bring their custom into the West. 

Inbreeding among British Muslims is threatening the health of their children, a leading geneticist warned yesterday.

Professor Steve Jones, from University College London, said the common practice in Islamic communities for cousins to marry each other increased the risk of birth defects.

‘There may be some evidence that cousins marrying one another can be harmful,’ he told an audience at the Hay Festival.

‘We should be concerned about that as there can be a lot of hidden genetic damage. Children are much more likely to get two copies of a damaged gene.

‘Bradford is very inbred. There is a huge amount of cousins marrying each other there.’

Studies have shown that 55 per cent of British Pakistanis are married to first cousins – and in Bradford, this rises to 75 per cent.

And, of course, the Muslim community was outraged at this obvious example of Islamaphobia.   Check out this official response, and try not to do a spit-take.  You're warned.

 

Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, which promotes the image of Muslims in Britain, said: ‘I know many Muslims who have married their cousins and none of them have had a problem with their children. 

You were warned.   I'm almost speechless...but not quite.  

And then there are the findings on intelligence. Research shows that if one’s parents are cousins, intelligence goes down 10-16 IQ points. The risk of having an IQ lower than 70 (criterion for being “retarded”) increases 400 percent among children from cousin marriages. An academic paper published in the Indian National Science Academy found that “the onset of various social profiles like visual fixation, social smile, sound seizures, oral expression and hand-grasping are significantly delayed among the new-born inbred babies.” Another study found that Indian Muslim school boys whose parents were first cousins tested significantly lower than boys whose parents were unrelated in a non-verbal test on intelligence.
 

What's my point?  No point.  I'm merely pointing out facts that you are unlikely to see in the news as citizens of Arab countries go out of their way to offend, burn, trash and kill anything American despite the billions in aid and opportunity provided to them by that same country.  It's hard to rationalize their actions without examining all the facts, including the absolute amazing rate of imbreeding in all these countries, and how that might effect their judgments, actions, and perceptions.
