And You Wondered Where All that Solyndra Money Disappeared To?

The Obama campaign dropped a bombshell this morning. It announced that, combined with the DNC, the campaign raised a staggering $181 million in September. The windfall is a huge increase over July and August, when the campaign raised around $100 million, although it is slightly down from the $193 million it raised in September 2008. The news should raise eyebrows.
The campaign said that just over 1.8 million people made donations to the campaign last month. According to the campaign, over 500k of these were brand-new donors, having neither given in 2008 nor 2012. 98% of contributions were under the reporting threshold of $250. Of these, the average contribution was $53.

Keep in mind that President Obama is getting less and less popular every day.  Also, keep in mind that the enthusiasm for his re-election is way, way below 2008 expectations.  And yet...new donors show up in droves with small enough donations that they won't be tracked.

Solyndra and the other green projects were, indeed, successful...and here's your proof.

"All of those ideals about reporting the truth without fear or favor—they’re a journalism that no longer exists."

Please take the time to take in this essay from Matthew Hoy (HoyStory) concerning knowledgable incite on the White House media corps and the media in general.  It's a keeper.

I get ticked off. I get outraged. And it’s less at what Obama, Sen. Harry Reid, and Rep. Nancy Pelosi are doing than it is at how the press is—or more appropriately isn’t—covering it. The sympathy and understanding built up over 15 years in newsrooms small and large up and down the West Coast is gone. I know that very few of the journalists I actually worked with have ever moved into becoming part of the beltway media complex (and one of them is a good journalist whom I respect and none of this ire is directed at him), but it really doesn’t matter.
All of those ideals about reporting the truth without fear or favor—they’re a journalism that no longer exists.
In the past few days, there have been a couple of incidents that have really highlighted just how blind too many journalists have become to exactly how biased they have become.

Antarctica Ices Up to an All Time Record

So, expressed as a percentage of ocean cover, the decline going on in the Arctic is almost 25 times the increase going on in the Antarctic. Walt Meier, a top scientist at the snow and ice center, told me, “It should be pretty clear that the change in sea ice in the Arctic is much more substantial than what is happening in the Antarctic.”
We’ll do similar math for the winter maximum in Antarctica. In the first five years of the satellite era, the average sea ice peaked at 91.9 percent of the surface of the Southern Ocean. In the most recent five years, counting this record-high year, it increased to cover 92.9 percent of the ocean.
How does that compare to the trend in the Arctic for the same season? I’ll spare readers another deluge of numbers, but in percentage of ocean cover, the decline in Arctic winter ice is eight times as fast as the increase in Antarctic winter ice.

What this warmist fails to mention throughout his EXTREME effort to play down the record sea ice in and around Antarctic is that Antarctica holds over 90% of the worlds ice.   But, that's not what's really important.  Bishop Hill points out the IPCC report which cited the following PDF article:

http://www.vliz.be/imisdocs/publications/231408.pdf.

Just in the opening abstract is this little gem:
The climate change projections over the 21st century reveal that the annual mean sea ice extent decreases at similar rates in both hemispheres...

Oops!   Maybe it isn't "pretty clear" that the change in sea ice in the Arctic is much more substantial than what is happening in the Antarctic...unless it is convenient.

How Do You Define a Third World Country?

(Dateline Zimbabwe)
President Robert Mugabe launched a controversial and often-violent land reform programme which dispossessed thousands of white commercial farmers of productive farmland in what government said was a move to resettle landless blacks and address historical injustices.
However, most of the prime farmland was grabbed by senior Zanu PF officials who are now failing to utilise it fully, leaving vast tracts of once productive agricultural land lying derelict. Zanu PF has resisted calls for a land audit as outlined in the Global Political Agreement. About 10 Supreme and High Court judges are listed among prominent beneficiaries of the expropriated farms.

It's not exactly rocket science...a corrupt government sets a goal, and achieves the goal, while passing out the spoils to those that allowed it to transpire without worrying about anyone getting in the way.  That is a third world country.

Justice Hungwe confirmed he owned Gretton Farm saying “just like any other citizen I am entitled to benefit from a government scheme”.

Gold, Jerry....Gold.    Now think about Solyndra and all the other green energy failures where Obama donors received guaranteed loans....think about Fast & Furious which was an effort to stunt the Second Ammendment that resulted in hundreds of deaths...think about nearly every program and parcel touched by our current president.  Now...

How do you define a third world country?

Would Someone in the Media Please Acknowledge These Deaths???

I linked to the Yemen Post a couple days ago concerning the deaths of Ali Abdullah Saif Al-Aghabri and Maraim Mohammad Al-Zahri in Yemen.  Both were described as US doctors who specialized in cosmetic surgery.  One could deduce from that description that they addressed deformities presumably in children.  Although, that was not spelled out in the article.

What I find unconscionable is that the US Media has not filed one story in reference to these two murders.  Why?

Is it because:

1.  It never happened?

2.  The victims were of some profession other than provided that requires a media blackout?

3.  Were they mis-identified as Americans?

4.  Or, would the reporting of murdered US doctors in a foreign Muslim country reflect negatively on President Obama's foreign policy abilities?

These murders, allegedly, took place three+ days ago.  Where is the US media?

What Was that Unguarded Quote Again?

MOSCOW — The Foreign Ministry on Thursday complained that it had not been properly informed by United States authorities that a group of Russian citizens had been arrested on charges of smuggling microelectronics, raising “serious concerns” for Russia, Interfax reported.
“A lot is unclear in this story. It raises serious concerns, and we are counting on U.S. authorities to protect the rights and interests of the Russian citizens who have been arrested and face these charges,” Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told journalists.
Ryabkov said diplomats had so far met with one of the eight suspects arrested on charges of illegally exporting U.S. military technologies to Russian defense and intelligence agencies. Eleven people are accused of taking part in the scheme.
Oh yeah...that quote:
"On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space,” Obama told Medvedev, asking him to pass the comments on to incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Medvedev got the political import right away.
"Yeah, I understand," Medvedev said, the mic catching it all. "I understand your message about space.”
Obama said he would be in a better position to make a deal once he got through his re-election bid.
"This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility," Obama said.
Again, the Russian president appeared to understood(sic) the politics involved.
"I will transmit this information to Vladimir," he told the president.
Perhaps Vladimir Putin is more realistic about Obama's chances.

US jobless rate falls to 7.8 pct., 44-month low

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent last month, dropping below 8 percent for the first time in nearly four years and giving President Barack Obama a potential boost with the election a month away.
The rate declined from 8.1 percent because the number of people who said they were employed soared by 873,000 — an encouraging sign for an economy that's been struggling to create enough jobs.
The number of unemployed Americans is now 12.1 million, the fewest since January 2009.

*SNORT*  Yeah...very well played and all that.  Except, there's a big problem with this kind of math...it's dishonest.  The only way for the unemployment rate to reduce from a recently increased 8.2% down to 7.8% would be if somehow nearly 900,000 more employed just materialized out of the repression ridden air.  That didn't happen...

"It's a trap!!!"

What's that fishface...a trap?   Hmmm...Oh..I see, yes.  Thank you, Admiral.

I guess we should have expected something like this from the Narcissist in Chief.  He gets his panties handed to him in front of 67 Million people and decides to throw a tantrum.   And, yes...it's a trap.

The President gets his headline showing a remarkable reduction in unemployment.  The media plays it for all it's worth by ramming the 7.8% number down every one's throat.  Then, when Republicans actually challenge the veracity of the numbers and the math...they all get smashed across the forehead with the ole'  "you don't want the American people to recover...you just want to hurt Obama," nonsense.

This changes the narrative from an inept president who debates like a cinder block, to the Republicans are un-American who are antagonizing the "black man" in the White House at the expense of the working man.  Of course, to pull that off you would require a media willing to lie, lie, lie and lie.  They have it in spades...

If this were a blast of jobs created to deal with the holiday seasons coming up there would have been similar activity in the beginning of Summer when municipal pools, vacation destinations, and shore communities added jobs/retracted jobs for the summer.  That ripple never happened because they were part time jobs and miniscule to the whole scale.  No...this is mathematical hijinks of the highest function, and likely due to someone dropping myriad folks from the employment field as "no longer looking."  In other words...shrink the worker's pool, and lower your percentage.  The convenience factor is to too much to overlook.  The debate was a disaster that has legs....and no incumbent was ever re-elected with unemployment over 8%.  Too convenient.

My advice would be to challenge the number anyway, and do it on national television during the Vice Presidential debate with your mathematician...Paul Ryan.  I wouldn't be surprised to see the ratings on that debate higher than the first presidential debate.  Everyone likes a good car wreck.

Reuters News Service is a Tool Consisting of Tools

(Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose only slightly last week after a big drop the week before, keeping in place a trend that suggested a mild improvement in the labor market.

Got that?

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose, but it's GOOD news presumably because the rise was only slight.   It must be extremely exhausting to have to innovatively come up with a positive spin on a weekly basis to protect the President.

Here's the dope.  Jobless claims went UP.  End of story.  It's not good news.

Still Not Getting the Whole Free Speech Thing

The following is part of an OpEd published to al-Jazeera addressing the violent Muslim protests and deaths that have occurred through September.  The portion I attached below addressed what the author (Dr Larbi Sadiki is a Senior Lecturer in Middle East Politics at the University of Exeter) perceives to be a hypocrisy within the Western World.  He implies that there is an understood third rail that suggests that injurious comments are not made towards Jews within the western world because of an implied political incorrectness being violated.

This, indeed, confirms that Dr. Sadiki (and likely the whole Middle East) really doesn't grasp the concept of free speech.  It is the Left that continues to apply their brand of political correctness towards what is acceptable.  More and more, they have taken the position that if they don't agree with the content, then it is unacceptable for anyone's consideration.  This same shortcoming applies in general, and specfically to Islam.  The solution, in Dr. Sadiki's mind is to allow Islam to acquire the false protection of political correctness so that it may join the list of taboo topics and protect itself from criticism.

Unfortunately for Dr. Sadiki, that is truly contrary to our First Amendment which allows our citizens to offend any who would perceive offense.
Maybe not everywhere in the Western world, but nonetheless juggling of moral double standards reveals incoherence.
This is what I meant by reference to Muslim ineptitude to defend their faith and their revered Prophet, Holy Book and traditions. Note how racism, sexism and anti-Semitism are too sacralised to be tolerated as items or matters of free expression, itself a sacrosanct article of faith in Western societies. They are rightly offences which carry legal consequences for those guilty of them.
What if, hypothetically, the ban on injurious treatment, expression and attitude against Semitic people, often narrowly understood as against Jews, is extended to include irreverence against Islam!? What would it take for this to be routinised as universal political incorrectness!?
By and large, there is no ban in the West on free expression that may blaspheme Jesus Christ. Mel Gibson, Madonna and Lady Gaga are amongst the icons who have in the past been accused, through their respective art, to have produced anti-Christ-irreverence. In the West, too, people get offended and they protest when Jesus Christ is ridiculed and treated with irreverence.
However, what is it that has enabled Jews to invent a device as powerful as anti-Semitism to ban injury against their dignity and identity that we Muslims have yet to grasp? There are hundreds of journalists and editors who would exercise self-censorship and refrain from publishing injurious material against Jewishness and Jews.
There is a puzzle and a challenge for Muslims to ponder so that, given their collective numerical size and wealth, they may work to put in place a similar device to stop injury to the Prophet. Laws that protect humanity against injurious attitude and ridicule are adopted everywhere such as minimisation of the Holocaust.

(Hey...thanks Blazing Cat Fur...for the link.  And, I didn't get you anything.)

A Photo That Sums-up the Debate

(h/t The Pirate's Cove)

Someone's getting raw cauliflower for dinner tomorrow.

The Debate Summed-up in a Sentence

" Look, I’ve been in business 25 years, I have no idea what you’re talking about."

For the last four years, the White House and President Obama have been going out of their way to use the George Constanza approach to life (doing everything opposite from what good sense would dictate).  As a result, our economy continues to stall, and the National Debt and Federal Deficit continue to expand.  Last night, Mitt Romney called the President out and landed just about every blow.  It was cringe worthy for most of us.  It was, likely, depressing to those who support Obama.

What I found incredible was just how unprepared and out of his league our President was last night.  It has been reflective in his policies and actions over the last four years as well.   I think folks better get used to the idea of "President Romney" because Obama's foreign policy is just as suspect as his domestic policy, and Romney won't let that go to waste.

The Ultimate Frack

Disturbing a dormant volcano might seem ill-advised, but that's what a company will do this month in a bid to exploit an untapped source of clean energy.

Engineers working for Seattle-based AltaRock Energy and the firm's partners have been given the green light by the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to start injecting water into a series of connected cracks 3 kilometres down at Oregon's Newberry volcano (pictured, right). Their goal is to heat the water, before returning it to the surface as steam to drive turbines and generate electricity.
Geothermal power projects usually tap into naturally convecting hot water below Earth's surface, but most geothermal energy is actually stored in impermeable hot rocks.
The $44-million Newberry project is one of a new wave of enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) that aims to exploit these rocks by fracturing them with pressurised water. This boosts permeability enough to support geothermal operations.

Harnessing the energy in a dormant volcano seems to be something you would expect in a Preston/Childs novel.  I hope it works, but I can't get the vision of a kid picking at a scab out of my head.  I just hope it doesn't start bleeding again, because a couple days of eruption will release more CO2 into the atmosphere than the entire United States in the previous year.   As far as all the other side effects of an erupting volcano...I never much cared for the Northwest, and Oregon in particular.

Yayyyyyy Islam...They're Pretty Darn Funny

I saw this photo posted over at The Gateway Pundit, and it made me laugh.

They, of course, are protesting the hack Youtube "anti-Muslim" film by holding up signs stating "Go To Hell With Your Freedom of Expression."  The irony there is oozing, but it really shows the absolute ignorance and self-importance of Islam, if nothing else.

That being said:

1.  Mohammad was a Pedophile.

2.  Mohammad was a violent and untrustworthy militant.

3.  Mohammad probably never existed in the first place.

Our State Department Just Keeps Stumbling Along...

Each year, millions across the globe hope for a chance to win permanent residency in the U.S. by entering their names into the U.S. State Department’s Diversity Visa program, the official name of the so-called lottery.
The program is designed to bring immigrants into the U.S. from countries that have been historically underrepresented in terms of U.S. immigration, so nationals from countries with high immigration are not eligible to enter.
Among the countries not eligible this year are Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, Columbia, Haiti, Mexico, Pakistan, the Philippines and Vietnam.
The 2014 lottery, which began Tuesday, allows natives of Guatemala to enter the lottery for the first time. Nearly eight million people applied to the Green Card lottery last year and just as many could enter this time.
Lottery entrants are vying for only 50,000 slots chosen randomly by a computer, as well as 5,000 more visas allocated by Congress to Nicaraguan nationals.

Common sense time...why in God's name are we going through with this "lottery" at this time?  We have way too many Americans on the public dole.  We have record numbers of unemployed, and our Goverment entitlement programs are stretched beyond their limit.  Adding 50,000 more people into the pot makes no sense, and it is unlikely that more than a handlful have any sort of gainful employment lined up upon receiving a green card.

This makes no sense.   Then again, I don't understand the whole philosophy of diversity in the first place.  The lottery is called "The US State Department's Diversity Visa Program."  So, essentially, the State Department is categorizing people by the amount of melanin in their skin, the shape of their eyes, place of origin, or whatever.    I rather have a "lottery" program that only allows the applicant to qualify when sufficient verified documentation shows that they will be self-sufficient, and an added benefit to the United States, not a drag on its economy and lawfulness.

Is My Imagination Running Away With Me...?

(CNSNews.com) - Government-approved school meals as a model for the family dinner table?
Responding to concerns that students are throwing away the healthy food on their cafeteria trays, the U.S. Department of Agriculture acknowledged that adapting to the changes "may be challenging at first, as students are introduced to new flavors and foods in the cafeteria."
But the government also says parents can help school make the taste-transition easier:
"We know that many parents are already making changes at home to help the whole family eat healthier," the USDA blogged on Monday. "We recommend reviewing school menus with kids at home and working to incorporate foods that are being served at school into family meals as much as possible."

It's just a cute little human interest story.  Give it a eyeroll and shake your head while moving onto something more important and fulfilling.  But wait:

Government:  We'd like you to incorporate our menu and calorie intake into your evening meals....mmmmm kay?
Me:    Nahhh...look I guess you really think this is a good idea, but no...sorry...not interested.

(two years go by)

Government:  We'd really like you to incorporate our menu and calorie intake into your evening meals....mmmmmmkay?
Me:  No thanks...I...
Government:  Oh I think you will, because as of today, in order to qualify for your required current universal government run healthcare, you can only secure your current lowered rate if you agree to participate in our dietary program.  That includes documentation of food purchases with a pre-approved receipt....mmmmmmmkay?

That's right...just a cute little human interest story.

US Doctors Murdered in Yemen

A US couple of Yemeni origin were found killed Tuesday in Khour Maksar of the port city of Aden.
Almasdar Online said that the couple were killed on Monday night insider their apartment pointing out that the circumstances of the event are still uncertain.
Local sources spelt out tha the two persons, Ali Abdullah Saif Al-Aghabri and Maraim Mohammad Al-Zahri, worked as doctors in the field of cosmetic operations in Aden.
The further cited that their assets existed inside the apartment were not stolen.

I'm sure it was just a random incident not involving any religious overtones or anything.   Plus, I'm sure the White House can find a youtube to explain everything to everyone's satisfaction once the US media actually reports on this tragic event.

Just How Protected by the Media is President Obama?

This protected (from Ace of Spades HQ):

Scandalous: White House Tells Contractors to Break Federal Law and Not Inform Workers They Will Be Laid Off; Further Tells Them The Administration Will Pay Their Fines For Breaking the Law

The media will ignore the Administration instructing privately owned defense contractors to hold off on necessary downsizing until after the election, and pay the penalties for such illegality with taxpayer funds.

Congratulations, folks!!!  You are all co-conspirators because following the money will lead to you (provided you actually pay taxes).

Cyborg Cockroaches...Oh, yeah...That's a Good Idea

It has come to my attention that scientists scare the hell out of me.  This latest endeavor looks harmless on the surface (for humans, anyway...not for cockroaches), but anyone with an imagination can think of about 2 million things that could go wrong.
Cockroaches that are surgically transformed into remote-controlled "biobots" could help locate earthquake survivors in hard-to-access areas. This new video from North Carolina State University's iBionics Laboratory shows how the lab's enhanced roaches can be steered with surprising precision.

Okay...looking for earthquake survivors is a valid project.  But, what happens when someone places a disolving capsul filled with botulin toxin on top of a "couple" of these little bastards and sends it into a water supply somewhere?  Not so altruistic anymore, is it?

...it's quite simple. Insects can be anesthetized by putting them in the fridge for a few hours—the cold basically makes them hibernate, so they don't move. Then you just need tweezers and a microscope.
We do a simple surgery to insert the electrodes in the roaches' antennae and cerci [rear sensors]. We also use medical-grade epoxy to glue tiny magnets to their backs, so that we can just snap on the backpack containing the wireless control system.

No one ever seems to take away the proper lesson from "Jurassic Park."  It's not a question as to whether we can, but whether we SHOULD.  Christ...what happens if someone starts putting cyber parts on the bee population?  That'll never happen, right?

Eric Holder's Vetting Process

I'm sorry...I must have missed when this came up as Attorney General Eric Holder's nomination hearing.

As a freshman at Columbia University in 1970, future Attorney General Eric Holder participated in a five-day occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters with a group of black students later described by the university’s Black Students’ Organization as “armed,” The Daily Caller has learned.
Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler has not responded to questions from The Daily Caller about whether Holder himself was armed — and if so, with what sort of weapon.
Holder was then among the leaders of the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS), which demanded that the former ROTC office be renamed the “Malcolm X Lounge.” The change, the group insisted, was to be made “in honor of a man who recognized the importance of territory as a basis for nationhood.”

There was a vetting process, wasn't there?  Tylenol...I need Tylenol...

Behold the Celebutards

What's the single most important issue this election?  The Economy...of course.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire lead a cast of stars in a new public service announcement urging young voters to use social media to express the issues most important to them in the upcoming election.
Zac Efron, Selena Gomez, Ellen DeGeneres, Jonah Hill and Joseph Gordon Levitt also appear in the Vote 4 Stuff video unveiled Monday, joining other stars in a call to voters to post tweets, photos and short videos about concerns they feel deserve presidential attention.

Let me ask that again.  What's the single most important issue this election?
Among the concerns these stars reveal in the video: Jobs, marriage equality, climate change, foreign policy, reproductive rights, immigration, worker's rights, teacher salaries and education.

"Jobs," I suppose is related to the economy, provided the celebutard who lists it isn't talking about a hummer in a public bathroom (it's 50/50).  But, all of the rest of the pet issues require money.  Each and every one of them require the taking of tax money and handing it out.  Not one celebutard mentions the necessity to cut spending.  Not one of the celebutards suggests the Federal Deficit or the National Debt is and issue that needs to be addressed, much less the most important issue.   No one mentioned the necessity of repealing the tax shelters and corporate wellfare received by Hollywood.

Ah...well.  I guess I shouldn't expect much from one the most uneducated industries in the country, being that significant number of celebutards never even finished high school.

Biden in Repose: #11

"Hey...you...yeah you, jackass...I meant it.  When you ask me a question you DON'T use words with more that three syllables.  Got it?  Jesus Christ, trans...trans..whatever you were trying to say..(unintelligible)...Transsexual?  Christ...really?  What's that...some kind of kinky train?"

Selective Reasoning on Climate Change

Arctic ice shrinks 18% against record, sounding climate change alarm bells
Scientists and environment groups say the fall is unprecedented and the clearest signal yet of global warming

That's horrible.  Why, we'll all be floating down the streets any day now.  Or, did no one take a look at the other end of the planet?
According to NOAA data, all time Antarctic sea ice extent record was set on Sept 22nd, 2012

Yeah, that's right...more ice in Antarctic sea ice then ever recorded.   Deal with it.

The Perfect Storm

I saw this story over at Breitbart TV. They concentrate on a landmark burger joint being shut down after fifty (50) years due to the counters being too high, but it's more than that.
SACRAMENTO— So long sizzle; Ford’s Real Hamburgers is finished.
The recession has been hard on the Land Park landmark.
“We scrimped and saved and cut down the staff. I’m down to 6 employees. But…” said owner Hank Vereschzagin.

Let's start right there.  In a bad economy, the burger joints usually do business through the roof.  This is due to folks lowering their elitist pallet and concentrating on the meal...not the wine list.   But, thanks to the cost of fuel (closing refineries, refusal of the EPA to allow drilling on government owned land, and off shore drilling moratoriums disguised as five year studies) transportation of food products, vegetables, and meats are much more costly.

Additionally, inflation rates, also, add to food costs, and will continue to do so into the future since our current Federal Government in bent on running up the deficit and debt to record highs and continuously printing more money to accomodate.

Then, of course, there are the federal laws requiring farmers to grow corn for ethanol and not feed.  This, not only, removes a significant amount of field corn from the market, it takes away land usage to grow other vegetables.  Supply and demand is the name of the game.  If there is a low supply, and a high demand, the prices go up.

As the prices go up, the cost of operating a burger stand goes through the roof.  Hence, Ford's Real Hamburger's problem.

Then came along Attorney Scott Johnson.

But then came the lawsuit. The allegation is that Ford’s is out of compliance with the ADA – the American’s with Disabilities Act.
And in truth, Ford’s is out of compliance. Go rolling up to the Ford’s bathroom in a wheelchair, and you won’t get in. There’s not enough room.

Counter's too high...bathroom too small.  According to the ADA, accomodations must be made for the handicapped, and Attorney Scott Johnson makes a living out of suing businesses into compliance.  That's all he does...sue for ramps, sue for handlebars on the toilet stalls, sue for lower counters.
“I’ve been coming here 21 years,” said jerry Silvia. Silvia is paralyzed from the chest down, but that did stop him from making Ford’s a favorite.
1/3 pounder with fries is his regular order.
Ford’s owners say the lawsuit they are facing for their ADA problems was brought by Scott Johnson, a local attorney who makes a living by bringing these types of cases – often on his own behalf.
He didn’t respond by news time to our request to talk with him about this story, but he did speak to FOX40 in February when he was suing a diner in Pollock Pines.
“Being a quadriplegic,” Johnson said of himself during that interview, “there’s nothing I can do about that. But these businesses that have structural barriers to access, that’s frustrating.”
Jerry Silvia said he doesn’t feel like Johnson is working on his behalf.
“No. He’s strictly crusading on his own behalf,” Silvia said.

And there you have it.  A fifty (50) year old landmark goes out of business because an incompetent California and Federal government, and a lawyer bent on making everyone suffer if he has to.
