Wonderful. Now, how about a dose of truth serum.Cutting costs only goes so far in easing serious budget deficits, so the USPS is looking to junk mail as a rescue remedy to add more revenues.
Where I reside (somewhere on the east coast) there are eight (8) full service postal service offices within less than 10 miles. Of those eight (8) locations, only one has more than 10,000 residents. It is, also, a college town.
Most of the others have less than 500 residents in total.
"Cutting costs only goes so far" because the USPS is unwilling to make those hard cuts. It's as simple as that.
